Accessibility

Our commitment.

Last updated: November 4th, 2025.

We believe the web should work for everyone. We're committed to building a website that's accessible to the broadest possible audience, regardless of ability.

To do this, we're working to meet the World Wide Web Consortium's (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 (WCAG 2.1) at Level AA. These guidelines help ensure our site is accessible to people with visual, motor, auditory, and cognitive disabilities.

We're actively building accessibility into our new website. Some areas are still in progress. We're continually testing, improving, and updating our site to reach optimal accessibility.

Here’s what we’re doing.

Screen Reader Compatibility

We're structuring our site so screen readers can navigate it effectively:

  • Proper heading hierarchy for logical navigation
  • Descriptive alt text for all meaningful images
  • Clear form labels and error messages
  • ARIA landmarks to identify page regions
  • Semantic HTML throughout

Our site is being tested with popular screen readers including JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, and TalkBack.

Keyboard Navigation

You can navigate our entire site using only your keyboard:

  • Tab and Shift+Tab to move through interactive elements
  • Enter or Space to activate buttons and links
  • Arrow keys for dropdown menus
  • Esc to close modals and menus
  • Skip navigation links to jump to main content

Visual Accessibility

We're designing for various visual needs:
Sufficient color contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)

  • Text that can be resized up to 200% without breaking layout
  • No information conveyed by color alone
  • Clear focus indicators on interactive elements
  • Readable fonts with appropriate spacing

Cognitive Accessibility

We're making content easier to understand:

  • Clear, straightforward language
  • Consistent navigation and page structure
  • Adequate time to read and interact with content
  • No auto-playing audio or video
  • Predictable interactions

Motion and Animation

We respect user preferences:
Limited use of animations

  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion settings
  • No flashing content that could trigger seizures (nothing flashes more than 3 times per second)

Browser and Technology Support

We support major browsers and assistive technologies used by over 95% of users:

  • Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge
  • JAWS and NVDA screen readers (Windows)
  • VoiceOver (macOS and iOS)
  • TalkBack (Android)

Known Limitations

As a small team, we're working through accessibility improvements systematically. Some third-party integrations (like Google Analytics and PostHog) may have limitations outside our direct control. We're committed to choosing accessible tools wherever possible.
